Christopher McNabb, a male resident of the state of Georgia, was detained for the death of his baby girl, just two weeks old, after the girl's body was found dead near the family's residence.

Last Saturday, the family made an emergency call to line 911 reporting the disappearance and possible abduction of their newborn. According to the parents of the little Caliyah McNabb, they would have left the girl in her room to sleep, after having fed her in the early hours of the morning.

The testimony given to the authorities also reported that hours later, when they went to check on the little girl again, the girl had disappeared.

As reported by a New York Daily News report on its online site, a family member who was helping the search found the baby's body inside a cloth bag lying among some trees near the home of the McNabb.

The girl's father appears to have fled after the baby's remains were discovered. Although for now the man does not face charges against him, the subject was arrested in the following hours and is considered the main suspect in the sad case.

Information shared by the local newspaper Atlanta Journal Constitution adds that the mother also remains in custody of the authorities and under interrogation, but so far is not considered a suspect in the death of the infant.
