A little boy of just 8 years old died heroically when defending his younger sister from her mother's ex-boyfriend, who was being the victim of a sexual abuser when he came to her defense.
As reported by the FOX affiliate in Sacramento, California, little Dante Daniels heard that his 7-year-old sister was being attacked by her mother's ex-boyfriend, Deandre Chaney Jr., when he came to defend her. However, the 23-year-old aggressor went with all his fury against him attacking him with a knife and hammer.
Monique Brown, the grandmother of the little ones, stated that on the morning of September 1, the subject hit his grandson with that hammer, from the spine to the brain. The little boy fell into a coma and, six days later, died in hospital.
The children had been left alone in their care when their mother, Elizabeth Salone, had left home to take her brother to work. When she returned, she heard them cry and when she went towards them to see what was happening, she was also attacked by Chaney who would have hit her at least three times with a hammer.
After the brutal attack, the subject fled in Salone's vehicle, but not before stealing some items from the house. However, authorities located him the next day in Nevada, and he is now in his custody awaiting trial.
Only a day before being brutally murdered, little Dante Daniels had started studying the third year of elementary school.
