After being trapped for almost a month, an 82-year-old man was found dead inside an elevator. The elderly man, named Isaac Komisarchik, pressed the emergency button twice, but he never received help, according to reports by the investigations carried out by the Denver authorities, where the event occurred.

According to the local newspaper Denver Post, Komisarchik has been missing since 2 p.m. on July 5, but his death is believed to have occurred between July 6 and August 2, as he remained trapped without being able to leave. It is argued that since he suffered from senile dementia, he did not find a way to escape his seclusion.

Complaints from residents of Woodstream Village apartments about a foul odor in the elevator caused elevator repairmen to open the space and find the body of the man dead.

For his part, Capt. Greg Pixley, a spokesman for the Denver Fire Department, reported that detectives assigned to the case are trying to determine the cause for which no one responded to the now deceased's call for help.

The man's family mentions that the last time they saw him he was wearing gray pajama pants and a striped shirt of the same color, combined with white stripes. Before the disappearance, they carried out a search through cartels that hit the area, in order to have a clue or find it.

At the moment, the investigations continue.
