An Israeli of Christian religion has been accused of stabbing to death his young daughter because he had a romantic relationship with a Muslim.

According to CNN, the Israeli prosecution claims that Sami Karra, 58, murdered her daughter Henriette with a white weapon at her home in the city of Ramle a day after graduating from high school.

The 17-year-old girl had become the girlfriend of a Muslim man, despite opposition from parents, who did not see the relationship with favor.

Her parents were so opposed to dating that they made her life practically impossible, so in May the girl ran away from home and went to live with her boyfriend's mother. Since then they have not stopped threatening and harassing her, insisting that she had to end that romance and return home.

Finally, last month, after the intervention of a social worker, the young woman had to return home. There she confided to a relative that she would convert to Islam.

That news unleashed the anger of her father, who took a knife and stabbed his daughter three times, killing her, according to authorities.

The father was arrested the next day and transferred to jail awaiting trial.
