After two decades of being a vocalist for La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, Jorge Medina announced his definitive retirement from this group. The announcement comes after a year that the singer had been absent as one of its members.
"As everything in life has a cycle, now my turn to say goodbye to this group that gave me countless satisfactions, experiences and a career full of achievements and successes," Medina reported in a press release sent from his native Sinaloa, Mexico. "I have decided to stop being part of the band to focus on my own project."
He took the opportunity to thank the public for their support throughout these 20 years; In addition, he asked for their support in this new professional stage.
"With the same gratitude and affection, I address you. I hope to count on your support in this new stage of my career. The fuel of my life is God, my family, music and you, my audience, and I hope to continue having them present day by day, "he added.
Medina reported that he will shortly hold a press conference to publicize "my plans and details of this new project" professional.
Last July, Jorge Medina announced a momentary retirement from La Arrolladora Banda El Limón by René Camacho, arguing that he would spend more time with his family.
"I gave them the best I could in almost 20 years. It is time to dedicate myself to giving something to myself, mainly to my wife and children," he wrote on his Twitter at the time.
It is said that the vocalist had problems with the group and preferred to start a solo career.
