The double murder of two prominent Harvard doctor graduates last Friday has shaken Boston after it was learned that the couple of doctors, who were engaged in marriage, had their throats slit at home and their killer left a message of revenge written in blood.
Strong security measures now surround the luxurious apartment in South Boston where the events occurred, as investigators of the case try to determine what prompted the alleged murderer, Bampumim Teixeira, a 30-year-old former security guard, to commit the crime.
The victims, Richard Field, 49, and his partner, Colombian doctor Lina Bolaños, 39, now leave a wave of sadness among family and colleagues, who wonder what exactly happened.
