A 23-year-old Indiana man was sentenced to nearly 60 years in prison Monday after confessing his responsibility for the kidnapping, sexual assault and murder of a 1-year-old girl, according to People.

Kyle Parker admitted in an Indiana court to be the perpetrator of the horrible crime committed against little Shaylyn Ammerman on the 22 of 2016. For this reason, he accepted his guilt in the charges of kidnapping and murder against him.

In exchange for his confession, the subject - who could leave in 45 years if he presents good behavior - will not be added to the list of sex offenders because he was not convicted of the charge of sexual abuse of the girl despite having confessed that raped her in front of her tractor before killing her.

"When I heard all the terrible things he did to my precious girl, I wanted to die," said Justin Ammerman, the minor's father, in statements collected by the Indianapolis Star newspaper.

"You took my adored, sweet and beautiful daughter away from me, her brother, her father, and all those who loved her," said Jessica Stewart, mother of the minor, according to the local station RTV6.. "I hope you live with guilt and [it] torments you for the rest of your life."
