Having I vanka Trump, the daughter of President-elect Donald Trump, as a flight partner was unbearable for Dan Goldstein, a lawyer opposed to the new president's policies.

So when he got on the Jet Blue company plane in New York, he didn't hold back and told him everything he thought. "Your father is ruining our country," he snapped at Ivanka, then wondered aloud: "What is she doing on our flight? I should be on a private plane."

The incident occurred on Thursday on a flight from the Big Apple to San Francisco and in which Trump's daughter was traveling accompanied by her husband Jared Kushner and their three children bound for Hawaii for the end of the year vacation.

According to Marc Scheff, a traveler who was sitting near Ivanka, Goldstein was so angry that he was shaking. “He didn't say it [directly] to her, he said it out loud. He said 'you are ruining our country and now you are ruining our flight' because our flight was delayed,”he told the Today (NBC) program.

In a Facebook message, Scheff stated that Goldstein was "agitated", but that he was not "screaming" and that he "did not" approach "Ivanka or her family. He also praised the behavior of the president-elect's daughter.

"When JetBlue staff went to speak to the man, I heard her tell them that she did not want this to become an incident. My conclusion is that she was okay with letting the man sit in her seat. She was calm and classy, "he added.

Scheff, who acknowledges that he disliked Trump's election, still agrees with the airline for removing Goldstein from the plane. "I don't think the man would have been violent, but I would worry that [in mid-flight] he could get up from his seat or cause a scene."

Shortly before boarding the plane, Matthew Lasner, husband of the furious passenger, had sent a message on Twitter, communicating his partner's intention to confront Trump: “Ivanka and Jared on a commercial flight. My husband is chasing them to annoy them."

The crew removed Goldstein, Laser, and a child traveling with them from the plane, and relocated them on the next flight to San Francisco.

The airline confirmed in a statement that a passenger had been removed from one of its flights from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport bound for San Francisco, but did not provide any other information about the incident.

On his last tweet after the incident, Laser's tone had changed: "Ivanka and Jared on our flight," he wrote. “My husband expressed his displeasure in a calm tone. JetBlue staff overheard it, and we were thrown off the plane.”

Then he closed his account on that social network.
