At his young age, Brandy Vela decided to kill himself before the eyes of his family, after being an incessant victim of bullying through social networks.

Despite the tragedy that mourns the Vela family, unusually the attacks and harassment against the girl do not seem to stop. Recently a Facebook page, which seemed to have been created in her memory, was immediately filled with disparaging and hateful messages against her. "Fat Cow", "Coward" and "You finally did it" were some of the messages you could read.

He was only 18 years old when he decided to kill himself.

"Boys, I love you very much, please remember that and I apologize for everything," was the text message that he sent to his family members prior to the tragedy and that set off the alarms immediately.

Her loved ones found her in her home room with a gun pointed at her chest. I can not anymore. I'm tired,”she said before pulling the trigger and ending her life in front of her family.

He was a constant victim of harassment on social networks, where they made fun of his weight. But what really made the situation worse was the creation of fake Facebook accounts under her name in which she allegedly offered to have sex.

The young woman was a high school student at Texas City High School.

In an interview with People magazine, Jackie Vela, Brandy's older sister, assured that she does not remember a time when she was not the victim of some type of bullying.

Brandy's parents have decided to share their daughter's story with the intention of raising awareness about the consequences that this type of cyber bullying can have on young people.
