In the framework of International Women's Day, a series of initiatives were carried out in Mexico that sought to pressure the government to make laws that protect women and end aggressions and deaths against them. One of those campaigns was called A Day Without Us, where women were absent from their work as a way of showing that it would happen without them.
In order to join the requests, the hosts of Un nuevo día, Adamari López, Rashel Díaz and Ericka Csiszer, decided to skip the broadcast, under the support of the producers. What nobody imagined is that Héctor Sadarti would launch a message that he considered himself macho and that he threw away the good intentions of those who carried out the program.
"Where is the chewi [referring to Rashel Díaz] and Adamari [López] We send them to rest; although we are really resting from them”, Sandarti mentioned in a live video he made during a commercial break in said morning.
Followers of the program exploded against the driver for such a comment.
“Héctor Sandarti, you stupid comment you made, people like you don't need each other on television or in any other media. Hopefully Telemundo will take you off the screen and not only get a press release saying that it was a mistake because you are human and you did not measure the consequences blah, blah, blah,”wrote a netizen.
With those misogynistic jokes? What hypocrisy!”Mentioned a fanatic.
Remember, these are delicate days for women; so shut the other up and you stay home too,”said someone else.
Many asked for an apology from him or his dismissal. So far, neither Héctor Sandarti or Telemundo have spoken on this matter.
