The Paris Haute Couture Week is held every year with great success and is the perfect event for designers to present their most spectacular pieces, many of which we see on the carpets of the most prestigious finery. So this is a very important occasion for designers. One of the most legendary that year after year shows your collection every year? Without a doubt, Jean Paul Gaultier, who in his most recent presentation, said goodbye to the fashion world with a show that will surely be remembered for years to come.
The 67-year-old artist, known for his original and irreverent pieces, had been designing for almost 50 years and therefore his last show had to be memorable, and the truth is that it was.
Many famous models from both the present and past decades walked the catwalk, including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Irina Shayk, Jourdan Dunn, Coco Rocha, Karen Elson and Estelle Lefebure. We also saw the dancer Deta Von Teese modeling, as well as many familiar faces in the front row.
"I feel very loved by all these legendary models who came and wanted to be at my show," the designer told the press that he was waiting for him behind the scenes.
More than 200 pieces were presented at the parade, of which only about 50 were completely new. The rest were a combination of some of his past parade pieces and other things that the artist bought in China and in some market for old pieces.
The show ended to the rhythm of the music of the singer Boy George and of course with the appearance of Gaultier, who with a big smile walked the catwalk and was applauded by everyone present. In the end a whole party was formed.
