The world of beauty is changing and making all women feel comfortable in their own skin. There are many brands that are trying to be inclusive and offer their customers the perfect products for their skin type or color. For example Brands like Fenty and Morphe Brushes are offering more base shades than others that are already an institution on the market. Now the Benefit brand, best known for its amazing eyebrow products, has just chosen a very special young woman to be the image of its new product.
Benefit chose model 20-year-old Kate Grant, who has Down syndrome, to be the face in Ireland of her new product Roller Liner, a matte eye liner.
“She is paving the way for those who come behind. Kate knows this and wants to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with disabilities. That is what she has been doing from the beginning, "said the young woman's mother in an interview with the British site Metro. “She is aware that she can do it in a way that her friends cannot. She's using her voice for them."
As explained by the brand, the young woman was discovered thanks to a video she posted on Facebook about her journey to become a model.
"We were captivated by her incredible outlook on life and her determination," said a representative of the company on The Daily Mail site. "She represents everything we love as a brand, so we knew we had to find a way to work with she. We are very proud that he was able to come work with us.”
This is not the first time that Kate has made news. Last August, the young woman became the first girl with Down syndrome to win an international beauty contest like Teen Ultimate Beauty of the World.
Kate is certainly inspiring. Congratulations!
