Eva Longoria's Show At New York Fashion Week

Eva Longoria has left the name of Latinos high in Hollywood thanks to her characters in series such as Desperate Housewives and Telenovela, among other projects as an actress and producer. But the artist of Mexican descent also has another passion: designing. Her first steps in the world of fashion were given by the brand The Limited. With them she created several collections that were very successful. Thanks to the reception of her designs, Longoria decided to launch her own line, which she presented for the first time during New York Fashion Week.

"I was super nervous, trembling," the designer said in an interview with AM Newyork about how she felt moments before her show this Wednesday in New York where her mom and friends like actor and singer Jencarlos Canela were. “Now I am calmer because everything went wonderfully. I wanted the show to feel like a big party and to be accessible to all the women who came. [I wanted] them to come backstage to tell me they want to buy the entire collection. That feels great."

In the collection we saw flirty dresses with striking sleeves, super comfortable pieces such as sets with a sporty air and others with floral and striped prints. To complement the line, the models wore ponytails, created by Michele Carrillo, head stylist for the Not Your Mother's brand. The makeup was also simple and fresh, ideal for the spring months.

"This was born during my life on set when I started working behind the scenes as a director and producer," said Longoria, whose show only played music by Latino singers like Maluma, Gente de Zona and Daddy Yankee, among others. “I wanted to be the boss, but I also wanted to look good. I started designing a sweat suit that didn't feel as casual or as a young girl [because] I'm not in high school anymore.”
