Carlos Mejía returned to television to give a touch of fun and a lot of fashion to the homes of the United States. The presenter, better known as the Fashion Guru, created a new concept that he named The Fashion Hospital, a show where not only is the new trends and the looks of the carpets discussed, but also where each week a viewer will have the opportunity to change your image with the help of the best experts in the industry. The show, which airs every Saturday at 9 p.m., on Mega TV, is the first and only one of its kind. This is what the also Dominican producer told us about his new adventure.

Carlos, tell us about your return to television …

Well, television has always been my passion since I produced in the Dominican Republic until now that I am in front of the camera. I am that I do not fit the emotion with this project, The fashion hospital. It is a show that I structured to bring to people everything I have been able to learn as a celebrity image consultant. I think we can all look good, we just need to learn how to dress in the right pieces. That is what I intend to achieve with the show, that everyone can get the best version of themselves.

What do you like the most about the show?

What fills me the most is being able to impact people's lives in a positive way and we do that in the Therapy segment, where we make a change of image. In that part of the show what we do is to harmonize the exterior of the people to give them enough security so that they can achieve their goals.

How different is the show from others with the same theme?

The program, to my surprise, is the only national television show dedicated 100% to image. I am convinced that our community needs guidance to improve its appearance and for this I am accompanied in each installment of experts from the fashion and entertainment industry, who also share their knowledge. We create panels and discussion forums on image related topics such as fashion bullying, anorexia, how to look fabulous after the fifties, among many others.

What do you want to achieve with this proposal?

For a few years I understood that my mission was to help people discover the power of the image. That no matter the physique or skin color, we can all look good. It is a matter of knowing how to use fashion only what suits you. That starts with accepting ourselves. I hope to make our viewers feel comfortable and safe in their own skin. Let them try to find their best version. I think the essential part of The Fashion Hospital is to positively impact the lives of our viewers.
