Chanel shows always give a lot to talk about. Not only for the spectacular designs presented on the catwalk but for the extravagant setting they create. In previous shows we have already seen the creation of sets that placed us in an airport terminal and on another occasion from Rome transported us to Paris, but can you imagine a space station? That was exactly what brand creative director Karl Lagerfeld recreated, and the result was literally off-planet.
The iconic Grand Palais in Paris became a space station where a life-size rocket, located in the center of the catwalk, began its “take off” to finish off the presentation of the autumn ready-to-wear collection / winter 2017-2018, leaving those present impressed.
The show, titled Chanel Ground Control, featured a futuristic collection where black, feather and cutting edge reigned supreme. In addition to very signature tweed outfits and dresses seen in signature fashion, these pieces featured very modern touches and space prints complemented by eye-catching accessories such as metallic gloves, elaborate headbands and glitter-covered boots.

As usual, several celebrities sat in the front row to enjoy one of the most anticipated shows of the year. This time we saw models Lily Rose Depp, daughter of actor Johnny Depp, and Cara Delevingne as well as singers Pharrell Williams and Rita Ora.
As he always does at the end of the show, Lagerfeld came out on the catwalk with his godson Hudson Kroenig.
