As is his habit, Karl Lagerfeld threw the house out the window at Chanel's pre-fall 2016 fashion show, this time recreating a typical Parisian neighborhood in the heart of Rome.

The acclaimed German designer took over the historic film studio Cinecittá to install the most elegant and sophisticated neighborhood in the French capital, complete with beer hall, cinema, a train station, an Italian restaurant and small cafes.

In the spectacular set, which also featured the distinctive streetlights of Parisian streets and the overwhelming Eiffel Tower, the guests - most of them seated at typical tables in Parisian cafes - first enjoyed a short film about the life of Coco Chanel and after the show.
