Lady Gaga was one of the artists in charge of setting the pace for the Victoria's Secret catwalk last Wednesday in Paris.

For the performance of her song by John Wayne, the singer wore a shiny black one-piece from Saint Laurent, designed by the new creative director of the brand Anthony Vaccarello, and featured a very special accessory: a hat valued at a million dollars.

More than 300 hours of work were necessary to make the piece, designed by the Mexican Gladys Tamez in collaboration with Swarovski, and who had the help of 10 artisans to create it. The accessory is decorated with 60 strips with 750 glass beads each, for a total of 45,000 crystals. In addition, the crown part and the edge are decorated with another 700 jet black crystals.

But not only the interpreter shone -literally- in the show, the angels paraded the sensual models of underwear, some of them decorated with rhinestones, and transferred their glow to the party that was held after the show.

Tamez has been in charge of all the hats that Gaga has worn since the release of her latest album Joanne, on the cover of which she appears with the already iconic model in pastel pink. We have also seen her wearing her designs on the red carpet of the American Music Awards, in her performance on Saturday Night Live, and in her appearance in Carpool Karaoke and Good Morning America, among other occasions.

Tamez works the art of headgear in an artisan way, following traditional techniques, and has been named by Forbes Mexico magazine as one of the most influential Mexican creatives in the world, along with artists such as Alejandro González-Iñárritu.

Based in Los Angeles, the designer's models have crowned the heads of numerous celebrities, including Beyoncé, Johnny Depp, Rihanna, and Gigi Hadid.
