The last 12 months have not been easy for soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. He was not only sentenced to 23 months in prison by the Spanish Treasury - from which he was saved by paying a lawsuit for sexual abuse against him.

On that occasion, Ronaldo donated $ 100,000 to the Portuguese League Against Cancer of his native Madeira in order to build a specialized center within the Central Hospital located in Funchal, the capital of that island.

Aveiro, who has become a star on social networks with more than 2.3 million followers on Instagram and Facebook - declined to provide more details about his treatment.
