Sarah Bertrand, a 29-year-old mother from Moss Bluff, Louisiana, died of cardiovascular disease the day after giving birth to her baby.
"The beautiful woman in this photo is Sarah Bertrand and gave birth to baby Julian Charles Montou, my son, at 4:31 pm on May 9, 2017," Jean-Luc Montou, Bertrand's partner, posted on one page from GoFundMe.
"A little over 24 hours later, at approximately 4:50 pm on May 10, 2017, Sarah died of a pulmonary embolism that instantly stopped her heart," he continues.
Montou says Bertrand lived one of the happiest days he has ever seen after the birth of his firstborn. The new mother was buried next to his father.
"I've never seen her so strong, so confident, and so joyful as when she held her new baby," she wrote. "While she will miss out on so much, I want to honor her memory by raising Julián to be the best man he can be, but it will be so difficult with his sudden loss."
After his death, Montou expressed his feelings through a post on Facebook where he shared images of his family in the hospital. "I miss her so much".
"Our consolation is in the fact that Sarah is finally at peace from her worldly ailments and frustrations," wrote Montou. “It still hurts deeply, it still feels unfair, and I still feel so helpless without it. The world is definitely a dark place without Sarah for us."
The campaign that was launched through GoFundme, which had an original goal of $ 8,000, has raised more than $ 9,000 among 253 people in three days.
