Ximena Duque, who is already five months pregnant, generated great controversy last Wednesday through social networks after the Colombian actress shared a video on Instagram in which she appears doing different exercises in the gym.

And it is that some of his followers put the cry in the sky when they saw the 32-year-old interpreter exercising her body -with weight lifting included- in full pregnancy.

I do not think I would have dared to lift weight, be it little or much, I stick with the traditional. God protect you”, commented one of her followers in anguish after watching the video.

“My opinion is that you don't exercise until after you have the baby. Not right now. Anyway you are going to look chubby. Take better care of your pregnancy”, someone else recommended.

While a third expressed: “I that you would not. It is preferable not to risk. Later you will have time to be perfect”.

Duque, who already foresaw the 'recommendations / criticisms' of his followers, wanted to make it clear from the beginning that he has the authorization of his doctor to play sports during pregnancy.

"All this I am doing because my doctor told me that it was fine (in my case). I think it is very important to continue our normal activities obviously taking the necessary precautions for pregnancy, "explained Jay Adkins' wife.

"But exercise always comes in handy, both for us and for the baby," she added.

While he received much criticism, there were also people who applauded his position.

“Don't listen to the criticism, I know many women who follow their exercise routines while they are pregnant and nothing has happened to them. Obviously measured exercise and if your doctor gave you the 'go' then do it, do not be put off by those who think that being pregnant is being sick and bedridden. Follow your normal life,”one of her more than two million Instagram followers recommended to her among so many negative comments.

And you do you think?
