Sabrina Seara: "Maximiliano Came To Change My Life"

It was hearing her crying for the first time and crying. "Life has turned me into another life," says Sabrina Seara about the happiest day of her life: the birth of her son Maximiliano. “It definitely came to change my life completely. But for the better”.

Four months after the arrival in the world of her first-born, the actress from the superset El Señor de los Cielos (Telemundo) declares herself totally in love with her baby. “It is impressive to see how such a small being completely takes over you, your heart. Now my whole life is for him. I think everything based on him”, recognizes the Venezuelan artist.

Has motherhood been easier or harder than you expected?

It was easier than I thought. Obviously it did give me a lot of time and it still scares me. But I think that one is born with that mother instinct and everything is flowing. What was a little difficult was spending the first month and a half without Daniel [her husband] since he had to leave as soon as Maximiliano was born in Mexico to the recordings of the series Idol War. Also the issue of breastfeeding was complicated, at first it is difficult to get used to how to breastfeed, feedings … So it was a lot of information and a lot of responsibility, but I think that women have an extra power that we do not know we have until we are mothers and it appears that superpower.

What advice has served you the most from all that they have given you?

I have an aunt who told me 'they are going to tell you many things. The important thing is that you understand that Maximiliano's parents are Daniel and you. Whatever you think is right for your child, that's what's going to be fine. ' And that is what we have done: take our instincts.

How would you describe Maximiliano?

It is not because he is my son, but he is beautiful (laughs). It is a love, that does have its character. When he is hungry, we better have the food ready because if not … But the rest is very restless, he is all day long as he wants to get up now, he starts to babble and he is a very laughing man. The whole day is laughing.

Who did you get the character from?

I think Daniel because when he doesn't eat he also becomes unbearable. In that sense I am more relaxed.

Has he let you sleep at night?

One of the things that I asked Diosito apart from my son being healthy was that he sleep a little more than normal and he does sleep. As soon as he was three months old, he sleeps all night. He gets up around seven-thirty, eight in the morning. Before, I did have to get up every morning, but not anymore.

Who do you look like?

He is one hundred percent the same as the father. Each day that passes is a different baby. Now he is super changed to how he was when he was born. He is much fatter, but he is just like Daniel.

How was the moment when you first saw his face?

It has been the happiest day of my life. When I heard the crying, it was such an enormous happiness. Of course when I heard it I started crying. It was like life came back to me again. I was very nervous. Since she was born she has not been separated from me. I didn't want to be taken to sleep or anything. Everyone said to me 'take advantage and rest”and I' don't '. All I wanted was to be with my baby all the time, glued to her.

How would you define yourself as a mom?

I think I am a modern mom. I let everything flow to the rhythm, without much stress. Always investigating what is best for the baby. But I get carried away by my instincts. I think it is a process of adaptation. I did not allow myself to say 'oh, motherhood came to scrub my life or change it.' I have tried to make us all adapt and to continue my life in the same way, giving my best to him of course.

And Daniel, how is he like Dad?

He has behaved very well. At first he was a little scared because of that he is so small, but he does change his diaper, bathe him, change him … Maximiliano and Daniel have like a connection. Is awesome. He is always calm with his dad.

Are you better with your dad then?

Yes. Sometimes when he is very restless I say 'take your son. I think he needs to relax with you. '
