A Florida woman and her baby were involuntary protagonists of a dramatic story that has ended by bringing them together.
Christina Fisher, 35, who works at a fast food restaurant in Walton Beach, Florida, decided to give up the daughter she was expecting for adoption through an agency. The couple agreed to the deal was "very sweet and friendly," according to People Fisher herself.
The problem came when in January 2016 the birth of the little girl arrived, whom they called Abigail Lynn. The newborn had a deformity to the face and ears, and after delivery, Fisher says, the adoptive mother was devastated. "The woman came out crying and kept saying 'he's deformed.'" Then, Fisher says, she "left the hospital."
The next morning, Fisher learned from the adoption agency that the prospective adoptive parents had backed out of the deal.

Fisher, who has an 18-year-old daughter - named Deborah - decided to stay with little Abigail now.
"Honestly, they missed it because my daughter is the most beautiful and happy baby on the planet," she says. "She is perfect and I am sorry that they couldn't see that."
