The Supreme Court rejected an appeal by the President Donald J. Trump administration to urgently review its order to end the mandate of Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The decision of the highest court now provides a respite to the thousands of young people who have joined the program and who came to this country as children, even babies.

On September 5 and through his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, Trump asked for the program to be canceled, giving Congress an ultimatum to find a solution for the more than 800,000 people who are hosting it, also known as DREAMers.

But Trump's orders found multiple detractors, including activists and even magistrates, such as the judge in William H. Alsup, of the San Francisco federal court, who said that the government's decision was "capricious" and "arbitrary".

Thanks to the announcement on Monday, issued by two federal judges, the administration of the New York-born billionaire must keep the program in place and allow those in office to request a renewal of their status.
