With a video camera in hand, Pedro Moreno captured the exciting moment when his son Christian Leo came into the world. "The experience was very nice," confesses the Cuban heartthrob, who was encouraging his wife, the 33-year-old Cuban-American chef Barbara Estevez, during the caesarean section.
“We are happy with the new arrival. You feel very anxious and want to have it with you already,”says the actor, who took a break from the recordings of the soap opera Voltea so that you fell in love in the Venevision Productions studios to enjoy this moment.
"That boy came with a good star," he adds of the baby, who was born on July 30, weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces and measuring 19 1/2 inches. Christian Leo was the first baby to be born in the new Little Miracles Maternity Suites at Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital. "He was born in a golden cradle," adds Moreno, laughing, who is happy to see how his first-born Pedrito, 6, and his stepdaughter Alexandra, 9, have received their little brother at home. "The whole family is watching the baby. It is a beautiful stage”, added the 33-year-old actor.
The proud dad doesn't mind the unveiled ones. "The boy is calm. Thank God he eats and sleeps. He is not a stupid boy, he does not bother when they change him. It was all very easy, "he says. “We were sure that we wanted to give our children a brother. We wanted to close the family with a new member."
Moreno adds that having the baby in his arms makes him feel even more in love with his wife. "This helps you face whatever it is because it is a decision that we made between the two of us, it is something that we will never regret," he concludes. "Life does change because another agenda is already included in your calendar, but no matter how hard or how adverse it may come, we are going to face it."
