The new version of Rubí that Univision will premiere on Tuesday, January 21 at 10 pm EST, will not only be an adaptation of the successful story that Uruguayan actress Bárbara Mori led in 2004.

The fiction, which now stars Thalía's niece, Camila Sodi, will also be a sequel at the same time as it promises to show what happened to the ambitious and cheeky character 20 years later.

Thus we will be able to see Rubí in two very different stages: the first, that of his youth, where the ambitious woman uses her beauty to manage men at her whim and get what she wants; and the second, where we will see Rubí, 40 years old, confined in a mansion after the tragic outcome that, remember, the character had in the previous version when her face was disfigured.

Precisely in this last stage a character that we saw in the story that Mori starred in comes into play with a leading role: Rubí's niece, Fernanda, only now, almost two decades later, she has already become a beautiful young woman who intends to continue the bad steps of his aunt.

The character, who adopts the name Carla to be able to carry out her plan to approach Rubí without raising suspicions, is played by the Mexican actress Ela Velden, who has participated in soap operas such as Awaken with you, Falling into temptation and Italian girl comes to get marry.
