Update (8/31/16 11:00 PM): Chris Brown was arrested by the police yesterday. The singer was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, a police spokeswoman said.

Police were called to the home of singer Chris Brown after a woman reported being threatened with a gun inside his residence, said the Los Angeles Police Department.

The police retrieved weapons and drugs from Brown's home after he threw a duffel bag out of the window, reported TMZ.

The woman who made the report, Baylee Curran, spoke to TMZ about the incident. Curran claims that a friend of Chris was displaying a piece of jewelry and when she admired it, Brown told her to “get the f-out” and pointed a gun at her.

She continued to say that as she was leaving the premises, the singer's crew held her cellphone until she signed a non-disclosure agreement. She didn't sign and left with her friend.

It was also reported that several of his friends, including Ray J, were inside of the home when a man and two women-who were uninvited-showed up. One of these women was Curran. Ray J has posted a video on Instagram defending Brown.

Meanwhile, Chris took Instagram to post a series of videos addressing the drama. He went on angry rants insisting that he was sleeping and that he is innocent.

The singer has had numerous run-ins with the law and altercations of violence, including the 2009 assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna, to which he eventually pleaded guilty and spent six years on probation. He reportedly has also had quarrels with Drake and Frank Ocean.
