Becky G continues to take the music world by storm but the singer is taking on a new talent: acting. The 19-year-old will be starring in the new Power Rangers movie that is set to come out next year. Becky is now on the cover of our # 50MasBellos and gave us the chance to get to know her on a more personal level.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
Becky G: My biggest challenge this year was to be living away from my family for a few months while I was filming a movie. I miss them a lot. I miss my brothers and being able to hug and kiss them whenever I want. We are very close, so it has been very hard not to have them at my side all the time.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
BG: Humorous, loyal and dedicated.
What makes you lose sleep at night?
BG: What keeps me awake at night is silence. Since I was young, I got used to sleep with music or television on. I still sleep with the television on.
Who is your favorite music artist?
BG: I'm a fan of all music. For this reason, I have so many favorite singers, so it's hard to choose just one.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in the music world?
BG: My advice for someone wanting to get into the music business would be patient, and be willing to work harder than you ever thought. Do not be blinded by fame. Do not lose concentration.
Do you follow any ritual before starting a show?
BG: A prayer is very important before the show begins. I feel complete when I pray with my team before going on stage.
Where is your favorite place to create?
BG: I'm most creative when I am inspired by something or someone, no matter the place. I usually write my ideas on my phone or my computer, so I do not forget.
