We love when famous females speak up about their self-worth - especially when that self-worth is highlighted in its beautiful individual glory, without the influence of a man's opinion.

One such amazing lady? Model Bella Hadid, who spoke with Porter magazinefor their summer issue about how her self-esteem and personal image are not dependent on how men see her.

I'm really focusing on myself, and my work, and just being the best that I can be, "she said." I'm not really worried about what guys think about me, I'm just trying to be a woman!"

Can we just.

This is amazing advice, not only for young women but for people of all genders and ages, from all different backgrounds. We should never try and force ourselves into being someone we're not for the sake of attention from a person, because the people worth keeping around will be there because of who we are, not in spite of it.

And as 20-year-old Bella is likely privy to at this point, your twenties are a huge time to carve out your own adult path in the world. However that may look, it is your own, and it is beautiful

In the interview, she also doesn't pretend that having her face everywhere (girl is the face of Nike, and boasts a whopping 11.8 million Instagram followers) is a 24/7 picnic. As Bella laments, she struggles hardcore with needing alone time to unwind and feel like herself again.

"It gets really overwhelming," she admits to Porter. "You feel like really overexposed and you don't want to see anybody… I just want to be in my apartment alone and kind of retreat and be centered again."

Adds the magazine's summer cover star, who previously opened up about her 2012 Lyme disease diagnosis, "I think I've gotten more used to being around people. I used to get nervous doing interviews. I'm a very sensitive person."

We're glad Bella is being candid about how she finds her inner strength. She and her equally amazing sister Gigi are looked up to by millions, and positive messages of strength and independence are that much more impactful when they come from the mouths and minds of those whom many young girls see as role models.

Keep doing what you're doing, Bella! We love you for it.
