Girl Yaneisy Rodríguez Raped And Killed In The Dominican Republic

A 4-year-old girl was murdered in the Dominican Republic by a 16-year-old teenager and a 31-year-old man who first sexually abused the girl and then beat her to the last breath of her life, according to authorities.

The tragic crime that has shocked Dominicans occurred in Santiago, a province located in the north of the country. The little girl identified as Yaneisy Rodríguez had been missing for several days after allegedly going to a winery alone by her mother's command around 10 p.m. on January 4, according to Dominican media. Her body was found Wednesday in a garbage can.

Those arrested for the murder were identified by the police as Franklin Fernández Cruz, and a 16-year-old boy whose name is omitted because he is a minor. Both, who lived in the same neighborhood called La Barranca, confessed that they deposited the lifeless body in a landfill in that sector, police reported.

The teenager involved in the case confessed that he carried the girl with his arms to Franklin's house, where both committed the crime, always according to the authorities. It was revealed that the minor also has an open case with the justice for a rape and that, at the time of the facts, Franklin was allegedly drunk.

“I tried to penetrate it, but it didn't enter me. I was drunk when he took me away,”Franklin told reporters as he was being transferred under arrest by authorities.

The director of the Dominican police institution, Ney Aldrun Bautista Almonte, accused the victim's mother of being irresponsible for sending her daughter to the grocery store alone and at night.

Due to the state of decomposition of the body, the burial had to be rushed and was held this Thursday at noon. The relatives demanded that justice be done in this case.
