Actress Mollie Fitzgerald, who was hoping her career would take off following her participation in the blockbuster film Captain America: The First Avenger, has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her own mother to death.
The 38-year-old director and producer is also being accused of attacking her mother in her own home after she was found dead on December 20.
According to PEOPLE, Patricia 'Tee' Fitzgerald, 68, was in the process of moving to Kansas City from Texas when she was killed. At the moment, the police have not released the motives for the murder.
The actress has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently in a Kansas jail. Her surety: director and producer of independent films. In 2011, she starred in Captain America: The First Avenger in a small role as a Stark Girl.
“Being part of this production has been one of the best experiences of my life. You can't pay for the experience I've had,”she told ComicBookMovie.com in 2011.
