A 21-year-old Hispanic girl died of being shot after witnessing an armed robbery while playing Pokémon Go on her phone.

The events occurred last Friday night in the Bianchetti park in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when Cayla Campos was with her boyfriend Sidney "hunting pokemons."

Campos was parked in his car on Granite Avenue when he noticed that there were two subjects robbing a person. When she prepared to leave the place it began to rain, they shot her in the neck, according to KRQE.

His car crashed into an empty home. Campos was rushed to the University of New Mexico Hospital, where she died.

On Saturday, Carlos Campos, the victim's father, seized his networks to talk about the tragedy. “You will never leave my mind, baby! I don't know how to live without you”:

Mary and Kane Light, a couple who live four houses from the house where Campos crashed, said that they saw the girl's car leaving the park. "We saw the car passing the park just in front of our house on cameras," said the woman.

The suspects' car has been described as a four-door silver Ford Mustang.

"I feel like a piece of my life is missing right now," Cody Bell, a friend of the deceased who studied with her at ElDorado High School, told KRQE. "She was such a wonderful person. My closest friend. I'm just devastated that she's gone."

The public is urged to report any information regarding this crime to 242-COPS.
