Upon breaking into the home of his ex-partner in Illinois, Christopher Miller, 35, asked his two children, "Are you ready to die?" In a violent attack, the father savagely beat his ex-wife, Cassandra Tanner-Miller, and then killed her 18-month-old baby, Colton Miller. The father shot the boy several times and then committed suicide. According to a document from the Kendall County Medical Examiner's Office, the incident occurred at a Joliet home.
A GoFundMe account has been created asking for donations so that the family can cover the baby's burial expenses. A message in this account says that that tragic day had started as a normal Saturday for Kassandra and her children. The mother had put the baby to bed for a nap, was putting away grocery shopping, and then noticed that her ex-husband had entered the back door of the house without warning. The monster entered her house with a smile saying: Are you all ready to die today? We are all going to die today! '”The message details.
The GoFundMe account describes Christopher Miller as "a military army-trained killing machine" and "drug-influenced," adding that the mother tried to fend off her brutal beating and "protect her babies," but was unable. The message adds that he strangled the mother until she was unconscious, but she managed to wake up and escaped with her daughter. So the father shot his baby seven times before committing suicide.
