And it is known that the singer Cardi B is not one of those who remains silent when it comes to giving her opinion and comes out to defend her point of view. On this occasion, the Dominican woman went to the jugular to the New York Police Department for allegedly torpedoing a charity event of one of her best friends.
The exotic ex-dancer criticized in a harsh message on Instagram that the authorities apparently did not allow the event to take place, in which school supplies for children in the neighborhood of Brooklyn were to be given away.
"My friend Star was going to have a giveaway in Brooklyn on the 27th, and unfortunately, it has been canceled because the [New York Police] called the director of the place where it would take place and practically scared the director and now it has been canceled." the singer explained. “And that seems very damn to me about the NYPD because that was really for the kids, [my friend] was paying out of pocket, just to help her community, so the kids had a fun and positive day., to benefit parents with school supplies”.
Cardi then let her frustration out with bad words directed at the uniformed men. But hours later, the star seems to have thought better of it and both she and her friend deleted the message from the networks.
The event in question was an initiative of the influencer Star Brim, one of the singer's best friends, who recently regained freedom after serving a prison term and starred in a controversial social media related to the leak of the Blac Chyna sex video.
According to TMZ, the New York police said that it was all due to a "lack of communication", after it was learned that Cardi B was going to appear by surprise at the event, something for which there was no opinion the appropriate security contingent.
"The director of the Brooklyn Democracy Academy was unaware that Cardi B intended to attend the back-to-school event and was concerned that there would be insufficient security," said a spokeswoman for the New York Department of Education Miranda Barbot, according to The Source. "We are working with the New York Police Department to make sure this event is a success and were not involved in canceling this event."
