The case of little Julen, a two-year-old boy who was trapped in a well in Spain, had a tragic outcome. Although rescuers worked tirelessly for days, the little boy was found dead early Saturday morning. The boy fell into the well on January 13 and his desperate family members sought help to remove him. During about two weeks of searching, the world's attention was on Julen and his family.

The autopsy revealed that Julen had "severe head injury" and "multiple injuries consistent with the fall," reported the Spanish newspaper El Mundo. A press conference was held after the sad news was released. The corpse was found 71 meters deep by two miners and a civil guard, various media reported.

According to AP reports, little Julen Roselló went out with his parents for a picnic on Sunday in Totalán, on the southern coast of Spain, when he slipped into a well after leaving the couple. The boy's cry is heard until he falls 30 feet down the well.

Upon learning of his death, his parents were heartbroken. "Not again! Not again!" Was heard screaming in the house where they were, according to various media reports. The family had already lost another son, Oliver, in 2017, from a sudden death when the boy was three years old, according to the press. Two years later they face Julen's death. The boy will be buried next to his brother, a family friend revealed.

El Mundo reports that José Roselló, Julen's father, had to be treated after suffering an anxiety attack and there are specialists giving psychological support to the family.
