Mexican actress Adriana Fonseca turned to her social networks to report that she was discriminated against at a casting in Los Angeles for being Hispanic.
“I open my heart to you, today I lived one of the strongest experiences in my career. I had a casting for a commercial, with some lines in English, which I prepared,”Fonseca said in the video that he disclosed on the networks last Tuesday. "The camera man asked me [to] say my name, I said it and he took me out of the room, he didn't even let me say my lines and in front of many people he told me that he had thick accent (a marked accent)."
With tears in her eyes and visibly affected, the protagonist of the soap opera Corazón valiente described this experience as one of the "strongest" of her career.
“I speak now, although I always prefer to be reserved; Because this surely happens to many people in this country and it is not worth humiliating and being racist with humans. I am stronger and with more reason, fighting and preparing more. I am a warrior but we do need a better world”, she concluded.
