"During their interview, both children confessed that they harassed Green, and they knew that they are his conduct, they would cause anguish to her", the authorities said in the statement.
In it, they also stated that cyber bullying was not the only cause that led Green to kill himself. "The investigation only revealed that cyberbullying was occurring at the time of his death," they sentenced.
One of the detained youths stated that he started Green's rumors in person and online. For his part, the other suspect told authorities that he exchanged messages with Green where she confessed that she had tried to kill herself and that she already had marks on her neck and that he replied that if she was going to do it, just do it and then the call ended. However, after a short time he regretted, "and started calling and texting her, but did not receive a response."
According to information from the Panama City News Herald, so far, the official cause of the child's death has not been disclosed. Her mother Tanya Green has only said that the arrests were a success, but she was devastated because her daughter suffered in silence with a smile on her face.
