Missing Teenager Is Found With Her Coach

The young Caitlyn Frisina, just 17 years old, has been found in the state of New York with her soccer coach, Rian Rodrígurez, 27, this past Friday. The Columbia Sheriff's Office in Lake City, Florida confirmed the news later in the afternoon.

The young woman and her coach were intercepted by a New York officer who located them thanks to his car, a Mercury Sable GS. It happened exactly in Syracuse. The police stopped the vehicle and verified that the one who was traveling in it was the missing girl. This was stated by Sheriff Mark Hunter at a press conference.

It was he himself who called the teenager's parents to give them the good news that their daughter was alive. "It has been one of the best calls of my career," he said. “The family was excited, of course. They've been through a lot and were emotionally drained.”

Being a minor could have serious consequences for Rodríguez, who could face problems with the law. So far no charges have been filed, although he will be extradited to his home state.

He is the soccer coach of the men's team at the Fort White Institute, where he also trains the girls' team, according to PEOPLE magazine.
