Two Texas Children Are Killed

The death of two children in Texas was declared a homicide after it was learned that their mother, by way of punishment, had left them locked in their car to punish them and give them a "lesson".

Juliet Ramírez, 2 years old; and her little brother, Cavanaugh, 1, were found dead May 26 outside their home in Parker County, Texas.

So she decided to go into her house to smoke marijuana, which caused her to fall asleep for approximately two to three hours. When she woke up and realized that her children were dead, the woman broke the window of her car to make it look like an accident.

That day's temperature reached 96 degrees - the hottest at that point of the year - according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The coroner who examined the bodies determined that their deaths were homicides as a result of heat stroke.

Randolph remains in jail as he has been unable to post the $ 200,000 bond that was imposed on him. Nor has he declared guilt or innocence for the charges against him. She is being represented by a public defender who did not return the call made by People requesting a statement on the case.
