A cunning peasant has become famous after ridiculing two European triathletes by passing them on an uphill road in a mountainous area of Colombia.
Axel Carion and Andreas Febricius, two burly cyclists who are traveling South America in just 58 days, had no plans in their preparations for their journey to go viral the moment they climbed a slope in a rural Colombian area.
Not necessarily because of the demonstration of their good physical condition, but because Luis, a thin Antioquia peasant who uses to travel almost seven miles daily on his humble bicycle to earn his daily bread, surpasses them like a champion.
This is shown in the video of the moment that one of them was in charge of recording.
Is it because you have more strength? Asks the European in a video, which is going around the world on YouTube and social networks.
After failing to take advantage of Luis, the Europeans lose speed and give up. "They are making a fool of us," he concluded.
Triathletes are meeting the challenge of cycling South America from Cartagena de Indias to Usuhaia, in the extreme south of Argentina.
