Sears Closes More Stores

There is no doubt that Sears stores have been part of American culture for many years. The dozens of establishments around the country have made these stores the perfect place for customers to buy everything they need for the house or for their family. However, times have changed and stores that were once a symbol in this country have been disappearing. Even prestigious brands like Michael Kors have had to close the doors of several of their stores around the country. Unfortunately now it was Sears' turn. And is that as a result of the few sales they experienced last year, they will have to close many more stores than they had already announced at the beginning of the year.

"We continue to evaluate our store chain, which is a critical component to our transformation, and will be making adjustments as necessary," the company said in a statement.

The company, to which Kmart also belongs, announced that starting next week, it will be closing 33 Sears stores and another 13 from the Kmart chain.

Although the company has been trying other ways to grow the business, such as combining Kmart and Sears in the same establishment, but they have still had to continue making the difficult decision to close dozens of stores this time in Virginia, California and New York.

Although most employees will be out of a job, the company said some employees will have the opportunity to apply for positions in other locations.
