Beyoncé was not at the Met gala!
The singer is one of the most anticipated celebrities at the event held each year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, but this time she did not appear.
On previous occasions, Beyoncé has grabbed the eye with the designs she has modeled on the competitive red carpet, where all participants aspire to be the center of attention. What was the reaction of your absence in one of the most important galas in the entertainment world?
According to the Entertainment Tonight website, the artist did not attend the event because her husband Jay-Z prepared a wonderful surprise for her. A source close to the couple informed ET that he gave them a few days off. "Jay-Z surprised her with a trip because he felt she needed to relax before starting her tour," he said, referring to their upcoming joint tour On the Run II Tour.
The source also explained to ET that Beyoncé was planning to wear a custom-made dress by DUNDAS. Even, he added, designer Peter Dundas had been working for weeks on the model of the interpreter of "Single Lady", who did not attend the gala last year because she was eight months pregnant with her twins.
A source told People magazine that the couple is heading to Paris to spend several days as they continue to prepare for their new joint tour, which is the sequel to their hit 2014 On the Run.
