For the third year in a row, Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West were conspicuous by their absence at glamorous post-Oscar parties.

Kim, who has survived a series of calamities recently, has started the year quite simply and surrounded by her husband and children.

Well, now sources in Hollywood assure that Kim missed the most dazzling parties of the Mecca of Cinema not because she did not want to go, but because she was not invited.

According to veteran journalist Bonnie Fuller's Hollywood Life blog, someone close to the 36-year-old star said she "hoped to go to [the magazine] Vanity Fair's party or any other party," but that "she did not receive an invitation."

The same source assured that both Kim and her husband had been rejected from all the important parties on Sunday.

Vanity Fair has not spoken about it, but it is known that this Monday Kim shared a nice photo of the memory of her 17-month-old son Saint West, at home.
