Sandra Murillo has become the best example of what it is to fight for a dream regardless of the time and dedication it takes. Recently, at 46 years old, this Colombian immigrant fulfilled her goal of graduating from university and what better way to do it than with her daughter, Katherinn López Murillo, 25.

Mother and daughter recently graduated from William Paterson University in New Jersey, and their story has become a beautiful example of improvement for all those who one day come to the United States in search of a better life.

As reported by the NBC News online site, Murillo left his native Colombia in 1996 after he divorced his daughter's father.
