A bachelor party in Costa Rica ends in tragedy. Four Hispanic friends living in Miami died in a boating accident while celebrating Luis Beltrán's upcoming wedding. The boyfriend spoke to Good Morning America about the traumatic event. "We were supposed to have a great time," Beltrán said. "It was a trip of two or three days to create wonderful memories and in five minutes everything turned upside down literally."

On October 20, the last day of the trip, several of the friends decided to canoe down the Naranjo River, which was flooded by heavy rains, according to reports. Three of the canoes capsized and four of the friends, in addition to the tour guide, died. Beltrán's brother - Sergio Lorenzo - and his friends Ernesto Sierra, Jorge Caso and Andrés Denis died. Nine of the friends present survived the accident, but were unable to rescue the others that the current dragged.

One of the deceased, Andrés Denis, was also engaged to marry. As reported by CBS Miami, the Costa Rican government is investigating the incident as a flood warning had been issued.

Beltrán's wedding, which was to be held on November 30, has been postponed. A GoFundMe account has been created to help the families of the victims.

The tragedy occurred just weeks after a newly married couple in Texas - Will Byler and Bailee Ackerman Byler - died in a helicopter shortly after taking off from their wedding. Also recent were the deaths of Kate Schurtz and Joseph Kearney, from New Jersey, who died in a car accident on their wedding day. May they rest in peace.
