After launching a line of vintage shirts that drew a lot of criticism, Kendall and Kylie Jenner apologized to the public and removed them from their website.

On the T-shirts, images of the famous young women appeared on top of some of the music icons, including Tupac, Metallica and the Notorious BIG; and they had been put up for sale by Ntarist Sharon Osbourne, who wrote to them via their Twitter account saying, “Girls, you have not earned the right to put your faces next to musical icons. Stay with what you already know… lip gloss”.

In addition to Osbourne, the internet also reacted negatively to the shirts, and hours later they were removed from the website as well as all the photos from their social networks.

A day after launching the t-shirt collection, both sisters have apologized through their Twitter accounts.

“The designs were not well thought out and we apologize to all those who were angry and / or offended, especially the families of the artists. We are big fans of her music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in any way. The shirts have been discontinued and we have removed all images from them. We will take this opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we ask for a great apology,”the statement says.
