Last weekend the coronation ceremony for Miss Dominican Republic was held, a beauty pageant that chose Aldy Bernard as the woman who will represent the beautiful Caribbean country in the next edition of Miss Universe.

Although the owner of the crown was the star of the night, another of the contestants also became the protagonist but on social networks, since her answer during the round of questions has made her the target of criticism.

"Mention a goal that you think you can achieve, even if you did not win the crown," was the question asked by Yadira González, representative of Santiago and who was one of the finalists of the contest.

If I didn't win the crown, I don't think it would be just a goal I could achieve, I believe in dreams and I also believe in working for them. I can also say that my social project, which is to empower women and girls and remove them from prostitution, could be carried out by this association,”the candidate began in her response.

“Enough of working for little money on something that we don't like or that maybe doesn't make us happy. We are more than that. Women are beautiful, beautiful and we can empower ourselves and give the best of ourselves to the world”, concluded the beautiful participant, who surely the nerves of the moment and the possibility of having the crown so close played a trick on her.

Through social networks, criticism and ridicule at Yadira's response became a trend. "Enough working for little money … If you go to prostitute, it takes a lot," commented a Twitter user. "Prostitution is wrong because they pay little? Added someone else.
