The body of Jordan Vong, 7, was found in a Denver home where he had been "intentionally hidden," according to authorities, who question a 16-year-old girl in connection with the crime. Jordan was reported missing Monday around 4:30 p.m., according to the Denver Post. After 24 hours of searching with no results, the Chief of the Denver Police Department, Joe Montoya, told the media: "Generally in these types of cases, we hope that the child is hiding or playing some game"

This time the search had a tragic end. Authorities began searching around the family's home and within 30 minutes found the boy's body "intentionally hidden" in his home, Montoya told the newspaper.

Police did not disclose where in the home they found the body, but they did reveal to ABC 7 Denver that the evidence they found led to the arrest of a 16-year-old girl. They have not yet said what relationship the girl has with the boy. The minor is not yet facing charges under CBS 4, but is being questioned.

A GoFundMe account was created to help family members with funeral expenses. There, his loved ones describe him as "the sweetest child." The message adds that Jordan “dreamed of being a cowboy or a soldier when he grew up. He was filled with so much joy and lit any room he entered with his infectious smile. The family appreciated the help of the community during this painful stage.

A candlelight vigil will be held in honor of the boy on August 14 at 7 pm at his school, Greenwood Academy. May Jordan rest in peace.
