Last week, Axel Arenas was arrested after being accused of the murder of the Argentine model Karen Ailén Grodzinsk i, who was found dead, in a hotel in Mexico City, in December. Now, the actor who plays José José Romanian in the singer's biographical series has been found not guilty.

"At the time of the events, here at the Pasadena hotel, he [Axel Arenas] was in Medellín, in the company of his girlfriend and brother-in-law, making it impossible [for him to have committed any crime]," Emiliano Robles Gómez Mont, Arenas' lawyer, assured the Mexican press. "The evidence we have; [They were] irrefutable, they have a fundamental burden of proof to annul any saying of an isolated witness as a work in this case in the investigation.”

According to the actor's legal representative, the defense had in his possession all the official documents that showed that "Alejandro Axel was out of the country the day the events occurred." In addition, they had other evidence to completely separate him from all responsibility for the murder.

"It is important to emphasize that [Arenas] did not know the victim," he said. "There is no document or relationship where it appears that there was a link or knowledge, or a friendship, nothing."

So after 12 hours of hearing, a control judge decreed that there were no elements to link him to the crime of femicide, because Axel was outside the country on the day of the crime.
