Police Killed In Jersey City Massacre Leaves Five Children

Agent Joseph Seals, who lost his life to those allegedly responsible for the massacre committed in Jersey City on Tuesday, leaves a widow and five children who mourn the loss of a police officer dedicated to eradicating violence on the streets of this city of New Jersey.

"He was responsible for removing dozens and dozens of weapons from the streets," Jersey City Police Chief Michael Kelly told the NJ.com website.

A veteran with 15 years of experience, the deceased had a brilliant history that included having saved a woman from being sexually abused in 2008 and two years later caught a thief who carried out two armed robberies.

"Joe was someone who got involved in the city, someone whom officers from other precincts knew because he was a good cop," city mayor Steven Fulop told ABC.
