Despite the crime stories that have surfaced online, this week a very inspiring one about Friendship came out that a 22-year-old boy developed with an 81-year-old woman, thanks to a game called Words With Friends.

In the summer of 2016 Rosalind Guttman, a white woman living in a community of retired people in West Palm Beach Florida, started playing this word game online with Spencer Sleyon, a 22-year-old African-American and aspiring rapper who lives in New York.

The couple got along so well in games that they got to play more than 300 games together, and one game to another, one day she used the word "phat," which in hip-hop jargon means excellent. This stunned her opponent, who immediately asked her how she knew that word. And then they started texting each other as they played, developing a cute friendship.

One day the pastor of a Christian church was listening to young people talk about who her best friends were, when she heard Spencer say that hers was "an 81-year-old white woman living in a retirement community in Florida," she was stunned.. And that answer caught his attention so much that he prepared a journey of more than 1,000 miles with the young man to meet Guttman.

When they arrived in South Florida in November, the noblewoman in her eighties spent an unforgettable day with her two new friends, had lunch at her favorite restaurant, and toured her retirement community.

The young man posted on his social networks, where he identifies himself as @ Fifth800 photos of that unforgettable meeting and wrote: "We played more than 300 games together and she really ended up becoming a good friend of mine."

But their friendship was not based solely on cyber gaming. The young man has also asked for the advice of his veteran friend. One of those who fondly remembers this: "Shoot the stars. Whatever you want out of life, just go for it." And that is precisely what you are trying to do.
